PARAMEDICS - WESTON BASE
|
Dave Diamond diamondd@stjosephs-marshfield.org
Working in EMS has been exciting and fulfilling. Since age 19, I have participated in various areas of the system. The last 16 years have been spent working on the Plover Fire Department as an EMS / Lieutenant Firefighter with a background in pre-hospital care, hazmat, confined space rescue, water rescue, and extrication. I have over 10 years experience working in the Emergency room at first as an EMT, then as a Paramedic for Saint Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point, WI. Working for The Spirit Team is a dream come true for me. It is such an honor to work with such a talented group of nurses and paramedics who truly care about people and making a difference in each patient's life. There is an old saying of (Be careful what you wish for?) it just may come true. |

In 2005 I began my 8th year as a paramedic with experiences from Sheboygan, Portage, and Winnebago counties as a field paramedic and trauma center paramedic. When the chance to join Spirit arose I jumped at the opportunity to join a growing, well-respected service that is positive and proactive for patient care. 2005 also marked the completion of my Bachelor's of Nursing degree from UW-Oshkosh and the marriage to my wonderful wife! I look forward to splitting my time between Spirit as a paramedic and working as a ICU nurse. My hometown is Howards Grove, Wis. but I look forward to planting my roots near the Marshfield/Stevens Point area. |

I arrived at Spirit with almost 8 years of EMS experience. I began my career with Schofield Fire and Ambulance as a volunteer EMT-Basic/FF and enjoyed EMS so much that I decided I would like to become a paramedic and work in EMS fulltime. The past several years I have worked for Oneida County Ambulance as well as Wausau Critical Care.
From the time I began my EMS career, becoming a part of the Spirit program was something I strived for. I had, and continue to have, a huge amount of admiration and respect for the members of the Spirit crew. Being given the opportunity to be a part of this team has been incredibly rewarding and I am very proud to say that I am a member of the Spirit crew.
