Founded in 1989 (as SSM US Health System), Marian Health System is a not-for-profit Catholic healthcare system sponsored by the; Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother.  By combining a highly-decentralized structure and experienced leadership, Marian Empowers each of our four regional systems to address local healthcare.

Ministry Health Care is one of the four regional members of Marian Health System.  Other members of Marian Health System are Saint Clare's Health Services in Denville, New Jersey; and Saint John Health System in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Via Christi Health System in Wichita, Kansas is co-sponsored by Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother and Sisters of Saint Joseph.
