Our Philosophy

The birth of a child is a special time, one which merits a special setting and personal, nurturing care.

This is the philosophy of mother-baby care, here at Saint Joseph's Hospital. We've long been known for the skills and compassion of our caregivers, and for the advanced technology resources immediately available, should they be needed. We treat childbirth as the special event it is, and provide choices for parents.

Nurse Station Birth Center

More than 1,200 babies are born each year at Saint Joseph's Hospital. The Nurses Station is the center of activity for the nursing staff when not with patients, and the place for visitors to stop and ask about a patient.

Labor & Delivery Suite

Our birthing suites look and feel more like home than a hospital—featuring cheerful wallpaper, recliner, radio/CD player, telephone, TV and, hidden behind the beautiful cabinetry, most everything the staff will need for delivery.
