Weston, Wisconsin - The right site for the Health Care Campus
The southeast portion of Marathon County is the fastest growing section of the county, with the Village of Weston forecasted to grow 4.5% by 2005. This is also one of the fastest growing portions of the state. However, health care services in the metropolitan Wausau area are clustered in the northwest quadrant: 90 to 95% of all health care services and all hospital services are located in that location. Only 5 to 10% of the health care services (and no hospitals) are in the southeast quadrant, yet close to 45% of the current population lives here.

Since additional hospital capacity must be added to Marathon County to keep up with the continuous growth in demand for services, the appropriate location is in the southeast corner because:
- This is the fastest growing portion of Marathon County.
- The closest hospital is 15 to 20 minutes away. With planned road construction on Hwy. 51/I-39, this travel time will increase.
- Less than 10% of area physician providers are in the this quadrant.
|
- A hospital and clinic will substantially increase access to convenient physicians and emergency services.
- Highway access is convenient.
The Village of Weston offers affordable housing, quality educational opportunities and larger metropolitan area amenities within a small town environment. Abundant recreational opportunities exist on land and water. Village residents also have their own aquatic center to enjoy. Shopping, fine dining, performing arts and other entertainment opportunities thrive in the area. Learn more about Weston, Wisconsin. |
