 Lamaze Childbirth Education Class

The goal of Lamaze Childbirth education classes is to promote normal, natural, healthy and fulfilling childbearing experiences for women and their families.

Lamaze education will give women and their partner's knowledge of the birthing process, skills to work with this process and support to give birth with confidence and joy.

Class topics will include birth plan options, physiology of labor and birth, techniques and options for pain relief, comfort measures, signs of labor and the process of labor and delivery.

Classes will meet monthly at Saint Joseph's Hospital and will have two options of class format: series classes will meet 2 hours 1 night a week for 4 weeks, and weekend classes will meet four hours a day once a month on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

A certified Lamaze instructor teaches this course. It is offered on the campus of Saint Joseph's Hospital in Classroom G (which is next to the Four Seasons Cafeteria). Registration fee is $45/couple.
