• Availability of world class treatments, typically available only in large cities, including Gamma Knife for tumors and abnormal blood vessels in the brain; and daVinci robot-assisted surgery for treatment of prostate and gynecologic cancers.
• A home-away-from-home — the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, offering accommodations at a nominal fee to patients and a family member while receiving treatment.

Also in Marshfield is the only pediatric cancer care program in the region. Part of Saint Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, the pediatric program provides comprehensive care to children who live in Central and Northern Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and other regions of the Upper Midwest.
