Roger Day, Chair of the Saint Mary's Hospital (SMH) Foundation, accepts a check for $1,353 from surgical nurse Dawn Hess. Hess and other members of the Saint Mary's Hospital surgery department gathered recipes and compiled a cookbook with the proceeds to benefit the Hospital Foundation. "What an amazing effort," states Day. "I was surprised at the amount of the donation, that's a lot of cookbooks."

The Saint Mary's Hospital Foundation supports a variety of health and wellness initiatives including the Springer Health Access Program, oncology services, dental access for uninsured, and sponsorship of the annual free health fair on the Rhinelander medical campus.
