Saint Mary's Hospital Foundation AED Donation

Saint Mary’s Hospital Foundation recently funded the installation of Arterial Defibrillation (AED) units at each of the Nativity of Our Lord parish church/school locations. “AED units save lives,” states Ellen Mathisen, treasurer of the SMH Foundation. “Oneida County Ambulance paramedics have stressed to us the value of having these easy-to-use devices in community locations. They can literally make the difference between life and death.” The Foundation has also donated AED units to the YMCA of the Northwoods, Sugar Camp Elementary School, Rhinelander High School, Cassian/Woodboro first responders and the Oneida County Justice Building. “We are grateful to the Foundation for providing these units,” states Father John Gerritts, pastor of Nativity Parish. “Between our two Rhinelander churches and schools we have hundreds of people using the buildings over the course of a week.” For more information about Saint Mary’s Hospital Foundation or to make a donation, contact Patty Fitzpatrick at 361.2835.
