Rhinelander, WI) SAVE THE DATE –The James Beck Cancer Center will be hosting the Second Annual Celebration of Life – On the Wings of Hope event for people whose lives have been touched by cancer. This event will take place on Sunday, August 16 from 1 – 4 p.m. on the grounds of Saint Mary’s Hospital located at 2251 North Shore Drive in Rhinelander.

This celebration is to honor cancer survivors for their strength and courage; to recognize the contributions of their families, friends, and healthcare providers; to promote awareness that knowledge, hope and inspiration can help beat cancer; and to emphasize the fact cancer survivors can live active, productive lives even though they still face many challenges.

Guest speaker this year is Bill Henderson, a five-year survivor of bladder cancer. He became a full-time resident of Eagle River a year ago after being a summer resident for many years. He was an active member of the Wellness Community in Sarasota, Florida where he lived when he was treated for cancer.
