Occupational Therapy makes it possible for people facing such challenges to participate more fully in the job of living at home, at school, at work, and at play. Occupational therapy helps children and adults acquire daily living skills needed to engage in meaningful activities, ranging from self-care such as dressing and feeding oneself to work, school, leisure, and community pursuits.
In addition to affecting mobility and activities of daily living, injury, or illness can have a tremendous impact on an individual's hobbies and leisure activities. Our recreational therapists provide recreation resources and opportunities to use leisure to improve functional abilities, reduce, or eliminate the effects of illness or disability and to enhance quality of life.
