STAR Foundation

Employees of Sacred Heart Hospital and Ministry Medical Group in Tomahawk recently completed their annual fund raiser for the STAR Foundation. The STAR Foundation was established in October 2003 to assist in meeting the financial needs of area non-profit and community groups. The hospital and clinic employees’ combined contribution to the STAR Foundation totaled $4,421.84. Shown presenting the gift to Paul Nelson, STAR Foundation President, are staff members (left to right) Becky Milcarek, Stephanie Kurth, Kim Ice, Jean Eggett, Paul, Joann Duellman, Bill Erickson and Dana Thompson. “Donations to the STAR Foundation, like the one made by Sacred Heart and Ministry Medical Group, are important to the health and vitality of our community,” states Nelson. “Support from the STAR Foundation for organizations such as the Food Pantry, Haven, the Salvation Army, Senior Center and other community groups are even more crucial during these difficult economic times.” Businesses and industries interested in conducting an employee fund raiser for the STAR Foundation through one time donations, or utilizing payroll deduction, can receive information on the process by calling Paul Nelson at 715-53-2174.
