Shane Durkes, MD Joins Ministry Medical Group in Tomahawk

Ministry Health Care is pleased welcome Shane Durkes, MD to Family Practice at the clinic located at 401 West Mohawk Drive in Tomahawk.  He joins fellow family medicine providers Ronald Cortte, MD, Eric Dichsen, MD, Russell Sudbury, MD, Jennifer Black, PA-C, Sara Olson, NP; Rhonda Repinski, NP and Tricia Dalbec, NP. Dr. Durkes is available to see patients Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is accepting new patients.

Dr. Durkes will be available to meet the community Saturday, October 25 from 8 – 11:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation Annual Health Screening event located at 401 West Mohawk Drive in Tomahawk.

"I value each patient as an individual and direct their care accordingly," said Dr. Durkes.  "I believe in practicing preventative medicine to keep patients healthy and treating potential illnesses early in the process. I believe the patient and the physician should work as a team to ensure good health."

Most recently Dr. Durkes was employed by the Mercy Health System Emergency Department in Janesville, Wisconsin as a treating physician.  In 2005, Durkes received his Medical Doctor degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica.  He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas in 2000 and his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana in 1996.

In his spare time, Durkes enjoys spending time with his wife Tara and two wonderful daughters, Sophia and Lillian.  He also enjoys hiking and fishing.
