PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT JOINS EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AT SAINT CLARE’S HOSPITAL IN WESTON

Ministry Health Care is pleased to welcome certified physician assistant David Kuphal to the staff of the Emergency Services Department of Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston.

Kuphal joins a specially trained team of emergency medicine physicians, nurses, paramedics and support staff who provide 24-hour access to critical care for patients requiring treatment from bumps and bruises to major trauma.

After completing a bachelor’s degree in biology from Marian College, Fond Du Lac, Kuphal completed his physician assistant studies at Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, Oregon.

“I am exited to join the Emergency Department Staff at Saint Clare’s and believe that patient’s concerns are my concerns,” said Kuphal. “I also keep the patient first by listening carefully so that appropriate and sound medical plans can be made.”

Kuphal join the staff at Saint Clare’s after spending the last nine years in the Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care Department at Ministry Health Care’s Saint Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.

Kuphal and his wife have two children. In his spare time, he enjoys bicycling, cross-country skiing and gardening.

The newest member of the Ministry Health Care system sponsored by the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother, Saint Clare’s Hospital is a 110-bed all-digital provider of quality, compassionate care in central Wisconsin offering a wide range of primary and specialty care.
