Members of the Knight’s of Columbus Sacred Heart Council #4628 of Schofield have donated $750 to the perinatal bereavement program at the Family Birth Center at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston.
The Saint Clare’s perinatal bereavement program is a comprehensive program designed to meet the complex needs of people that have experienced the loss of a newborn or young child. Family Birth Center staff is educated on the subject and works together with the hospitals spiritual services and other resources to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patients and their families.
“This program provides a vital resource to families at a very difficult time and we are blessed to have the support of the Sacred Heart Council #4628 of the Knight’s of Columbus,” said Saint Clare’s Hospital President Mary Krueger.
The Sacred Heart Council #4628 of the Knight’s of Columbus represents members from Saint Therese and Saint Mark’s Catholic Church’s in Rothschild and Saint Agnes Parish in Weston.
“The Knights of Columbus has a long record of supporting pro-life initiatives and we salute the Family Birth Center of Saint Clare’s Hospital and this program to help families in our community,” said Harley Vander Kooy, treasurer of the Sacred Heart Council #4628 who also serves as a valuable volunteer at Saint Clare’s Hospital.
