Our Lady of Victory Hospital will celebrate National Hospital Week, May 10-16, 2009. Cindy Eichman, president of Our Lady of Victory Hospital, says, “We are acknowledging the people who dedicate their lives to health care with the theme, ‘A Healthy Commitment in Changing Times.’
“This theme spotlights the extraordinary work our employees do – and how they persevere during these difficult times. Their commitment to creating better health and better health care for the communities we serve does not diminish. This week gives us an opportunity to recognize our team. We’re extremely proud of each member of our staff and we acknowledge the important role they play in extending a sense of trust to our patients and our communities.”
Cindy added, “We also know that our patients appreciate what we do. We recently received some patient satisfaction survey results with favorable feedback from patients that we cared for in both our emergency department and our inpatient hospital units. Our emergency department was ranked at the 88.0 percentile for excellent ratings in overall care. OLVH inpatient care was ranked at the 96.7 percentile compared to all other reporting hospitals across the nation. This rating is determined by those patients that rank the hospital “the best hospital” on a scale of 1 to 10. Our goal is to be at or better than the 90.0 percentile on a continuous basis. We appreciate the feedback from our patients when they are satisfied, and even when they are not, so we can learn how to improve.”
