HFA Annual Teleconference: Cancer & End of Life Care

This popular annual event will be held March 24, 12:15-4:00pm at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander and at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff. The live national broadcast will address care options related to cancer diagnoses, as well as loss and grief reactions for patients, families and professional caregivers. The popular teleconference will also examine psychosocial aspects of cancer, pain management and ethical issues related to the disease. Grief Support Groups

Ministry Home Care - Hospice Services offers monthly grief support groups across the Northwoods. Facilitated by hospice social workers, bereavement coordinators, clergy and trained volunteers, these groups are open to everyone, regardless of involvement with hospice prior to the death of their loved one, and are free of charge.

Eagle River:      

Side by Side grief support group held the third Thursday of each month, 1pm. Everyone is welcome, and no pre-registration is required. Held at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, located at 5001 County Road G in Eagle River. Co-sponsored by St. Peter the Fisherman Parish and Ministry Home Care.  For more information, please call St. Peter’s at 715-479-8704.

Rhinelander:   

Working through Grief series. 2-hour informal sessions held the third Tuesday of each month, 

1-3 pm at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander.
