Options for Payment
If you are uninsured or if your insurance coverage includes a deductible and/or co-pay provision that will result in a balance due from you, we require payment or arrangements for payment of the unpaid balance. Payment at time of service is requested.
Our Terms
Payment in full 30 days from your discharge/service date or the date your insurance paid. If you need other arrangements, a patient financial counselor is available to review options with you.
Cash Payments or Extended Financing Through Major Credit Card
Payment in full by cash, check or bank credit card is accepted for payment of your outstanding balance. Payment by credit card allows you to establish your own payment schedule in low monthly installments.
Interest-Free Short Term Financing
Ministry will extend interest-free short term financing for your portion of the bill. While the shortest payment terms possible are appreciated, we will grant up to six (6) months from your date of service to pay balances in full when payment arrangements are made with a patient financial counselor.
Extended Financing Program
For larger balances, or extenuating circumstances, extended payment options may be available with administrative approval. For those patients who wish to make payments over a longer period, we may be able to offer an alternative financing program through local financial institutions. A patient financial counselor can provide you with more information about this option, which offers a reasonable interest rate.
Community Care Program
Patients who do not have the means to pay for necessary health care services can apply for assistance through the Ministry Community Care Program. A patient financial counselor is available to review this and other options for financial assistance with you in confidence.
What If I Can’t Afford Treatment?
Ministry Health Care treats all patients with emergency medical conditions regardless of their ability to pay for the care. Our first concern is to assure that everyone in need receives quality care and treatment with dignity and respect. In non-emergency situations, Ministry will distribute its available resources to provide health care services to those most in need financially. We will assist all patients by identifying payment options for all levels of financial need.
Refunds
If an overpayment is made, you will receive a prompt refund.
Our Mission
Our mission as a Catholic health care system is to further the healing ministry of Jesus by continually improving the health and well-being of all people, especially the poor, in the communities we serve.
