Art For Health - 2010

A Project of The Women’s & Children’s Health Center and The Art of Music

Join us on Wednesday’s beginning April 28th - May 19th from 4:00pm - 5:00pm. Classes are open to children 5-12 years of age. Parents are encouraged to participate.

In this kid-friendly yoga class, children will explore yoga poses, games, breathing exercises in a safe, fun, and caring environment.

Yoga teaches children how to be in their bodies and make choices from their hearts. Animated poses and basic stretching exercises promote flexibility, strength, and coordination. Breathing and visualization exercises teach children how to focus, relax, and develop self-control.

Interactive games and stories help kids learn communication and social skills while stimulating their imaginations and releasing energy in a healthy way.

Give your child the tools needed to navigate life in this contemporary fast-paced world.

This free series of four classes is brought to you by the Art for Health initiative at the Women’s and Children’s Health Center – Door County Memorial Hospital.

Classes will be taught by Patti Wagner, Certified Yoga Teacher, of Mindful Living LLC. Register Today! Call 746-3738 to sign up. Class size is limited! Children may bring their favorite blanket or stuffed animal for final relaxation.
