Pharmacists at Ministry Health Care have the resources and connectivity of a hospital system that includes both decentralized and centralized services that is focused on patient outcomes. Pharmacists have made a difference in patient care by being at the patient’s bedside right next to the physicians and nurses. Ministry Health Care is a leader in using advanced technology that help ensure patient’s receive the right dose of the right drug at the right time. Clinical subgroups exist made up of clinical staff pharmacists that explore clinical and therapeutic opportunities across the system. Scope of clinical services at our locations vary and include patient populations in neonatal/pediatric intensive care, trauma/emergency room services, metabolic support, pain consult, oncology, internal medicine, pharmacokinetics, cardiovascular, surgical and medical adult critical care
Pharmacy Services are supported by a continual learning environment. Our facilities are clerkship sites for PharmD students. A PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency, PGY-2 Health System Administrative Residency and Intern programs exist in our system. Our vast organization provides strong mentoring for new graduates and advancement opportunities for those looking to take the next step in their career.
