The statistics are sobering.  Milwaukee is now the seventh poorest city in the country, with the fourth highest rate of children living in poverty.  Agape Community Center is located in the hub of northwest Milwaukee neighborhoods where people are living on the edge.  We offer a year-round, safe and stable haven for structured youth learning, education, and socializing; support, resources, and networking for adults; free, fun, regularly-scheduled family events; and opportunities for neighborhood organizing and mobilization.  Over the past 20 years, we have been gratified by the hundreds of youth and families who, with the support of a compassionate community, have moved from the threshold of struggle into the light of hope.  Last year...

• 17,800 community meals were served
• Over 1,500 area families participated in activities that strengthened the community
• More than 700 volunteers contributed 3,276 hours to serving community meals
• 13,670 total times teens and youth participated in activities
• 2,450 summer lunches were served to youth
• Teens volunteered 705 hours
• The After School Program was open 225 days for 7-12 year-olds
• 1,400 visits to the Center were made by older adults
• 35 neighborhood and civic functions drew 2,606 people

2. Donate through the Pick n'Save "We Care" program.  The grocery store chain will donate a percentage of every dollar you spend to Agape.  Simply go to the service desk of the store nearest you and ask them to put code #01600 on your Advantage Card.

4. Buy Online through Good Shop. Click HERE, then click on the link that says GOODSHOP. It costs the same, but we get a small donation for items you purchase from over 100 regular vendors!
5. Add your name to our Mailing List. Send an email to aluzi@agape-center.org and ask to be added. You'll receive semi-annual mailing telling about our programs and success stories... plus you'll receive a copy of the Annual Report!
